Each component is chosen for specific qualities that add to comfort and durability. Our quality construction techniques bring together comfort and styling that will last for years to come.

How We Build Our Furniture	Why We Do It That Way
Frame	Frame
Hardwood used for frame construction.*	To add strength and stability to our furniture.
Insulated clips attach springs to the frame.	To help prevent annoying noises.
Reinforced frame joints with rails are double dowelled, glued and corner blocked.	Furniture that will keep its integrity, be more durable and last longer.
Fixed wooden legs are built into the frame.	For added strength and durability.
Suspension	Suspension
Heavy gauge sinuous wire seat and back springs.	To increase the life of the furniture.
Double tie wires on back and seat springs.	Better support for seating that will stand-up to use over time.
Cushion	Cushion
Extra padding on the inside back.*	To extend cushion life and seating comfort.
Back cushions are constructed with separate sewn-in channeled or baffled compartments for the fiber filling.	To help keep the cushion shape and remain comfortable.
Cushions made with a high resiliency foam core with secured Dacron wrapping.	For comfortable seating that will last.
Premium cushions with higher density foam for seat cushions and down blended with fiber fill for back cushions and accent pillows are available on many sofas.	Option for a softer seating and a more luxurious feel.
Covers	Covers
Fully-lined, tailored skirts.	To help the skirts keep their shape and look new for a longer period of time.
Padded seat edge rolls.*	To extend the life of the cushions.
Heavily padded arms.*	To add comfort and prevent wear on the fabric or leather covering.
Leather	Leather
Solid laminated outside arm frame and outside back frame.	To help lessen the wear and tear on the leather.
Back cushions are baffled, channeled and have zipper access.	To help keep the cushion contents in place and maintain the cushion shape.
100% Leather, no vinyl is used.	To improve consistent wear and color matching over time, as well as a more luxurious feel to the hand.
8-Way hand-tied spring seating suspension.	For individualized seating comfort - lighter people won't lean into heavier people sitting on the cushion beside them.
Heavy-duty interlocking frame construction.	For long-lasting stability and durability.
Cushions containing springs in individual fabric pockets, surrounded by foam and a fiber wrap.	For a soft seat that responds to the sitter and will help keep its shape and comfort over time.

Earth-Friendly Construction
As participants in the EarthCare Inside program, Cozy Life, whenever possible, constructs furniture from eco-friendly materials including seat cushions made from soy-based foam, webbing made with 100% recycled-fiber yarn, cushion fibers from recycled materials and springs forged from recycled steel.
